Dear friends,
Recently, I sat down at the table with 12 children from a family-type home supported by Hope and Homes for Children. We cooked and ate together, played ball, laughed a lot, and talked about passions and training. Among them are a few judo champions—determined, hardworking teenagers with big dreams, just like I was at their age.
But behind these typical teenage portraits lies a difficult life story, marked by hardship and abandonment.
And yet, today, they have a place they call home—a place where they find the basic resources they need to build a good, independent future.
Do you know what stays with me every time I visit one of these homes?
That home is not just a roof over your head and a warm meal.
It means people who take care of each other.
It means safety and the confidence to believe in your own chance.
And for that, they need all of us. They need our support—a kind of support that not only gives them momentum, but also helps them build a meaningful and stable future.
They all need simple things: school supplies, clothes, a trip that shows them the world is bigger than what they’ve known so far.
Some need therapy, to heal wounds that cannot be seen.
Others discover painting, music, or passions that give them purpose and confidence.
For their athletic performance, they need equipment and training.
That’s why today, I’m asking for your help.
So these children can continue to have good food, education, and support, I encourage you to make a monthly donation and offer them something more valuable than anything else: stability—the reassurance that someone is there for them, consistently.
Let’s take care of them together. Because no child should ever feel alone.
