This month we put the lock on the gate of “Dumbrava Minunata” Placement Center in Pomârla, Botoşani county. We have invested over 500,000 euros in the construction of two new family houses, which ensure the children in the protection system a life close to normality.
The two houses accommodate 12 children each, 10 of them with special educational needs. For them, Home now means a warm house with a very spacious living room, kitchen, 4 bedrooms, laundry room, 2 bathrooms and 2 toilets.
An environment as close as possible to the family one
Here the children enjoy hosting, care, education, emotional support and counselling for the development of independent living skills.

2009 – the year that marked the start of our interventions in Botoșani county
In 2013, we closed the ”Sfântul Spiridon” Placement Center, which housed 100 children and young people with special needs. In 2015, we closed “Elena Doamna” Placement Center, with 35 typical children.
In addition, during all these years, our specialists have been involved in supporting vulnerable children and reforming the protection system at the local level through training programs for professionals in the protection system, prevention of child separation from the family and socio-professional integration.
